Burning Man Time Navigators installed a time-lapse photography system to capture Black Rock City. Four different cameras captured a portion of citizen activity every hour of every day for four weeks.

The installation consisted of four cameras recording four playa perspectives. Located approximately 4/5’s down the Esplanade towards The Man, the camera unit captured three views from 90º - 180º - 270º covering the arc of the city encampment in three sections. The fourth camera pointed down the Esplanade towards The Man and captured the waves of activity around The Man and the open playa.
