From conception, Folding-Time has been designed to be an ongoing project that is stable and easily repeatable and of enough value to return year after year. We envision Folding-Time will benefit Burning Man and its communities this year and years to follow.

We heard some great ideas from Black Rock citizens on how to enhance Folding-Time next year, such as adding a punch clock at the base of the installation and a time stamp on the footage so that people can track their own movements in time. We are also in the process of creating an art installation that not only captures people’s interest through their visual cortexes but also immerses them in environment that will evoke memories of their personal Burning Man experience and show them a little piece of what they missed.

It will introduce the uninitiated to the marvel that is the creation of Black Rock City. Participants will be able to walk into four-walled video “cave”-like environment that engulfs them in a wrap-around view of Burning Man 2002.
